Assistant Director, Multicultural and Diversity Affairs
Diana Moreno is an educator and social justice organizer from Ecuador whose involvement spans feminist, immigrant rights, and labor right causes. Her passion for equity and representation was shaped by her immigrant experience. She currently serves as Assistant Director of Multicultural and Diversity Affairs at the University of Florida working to create programs to promote critical thinking, equity, and social justice on campus. Prior to her work in higher education, Diana served as a labor organizer for the United Faculty of Florida and a human-rights monitor for the Fair Food Standards Council. She has also been involved in several local and campus social justice campaigns such as the efforts to grant in-state tuition to undocumented students and the wage recovery program in Alachua County.

Discussions will include how we define storytelling for inclusion, methods to enhance inclusion through storytelling, and the impact that we have seen storytelling have on our lives.
